The company, which is the leading manufacturer and exporter of specialist food packaging machinery was selected from amongst hundreds of nominees to become one of the finalists for the prestigious Manufacturing Business of the Year; Employer of the year; and Business of the year category.

Knutsford based Packaging Automation (PA) the leading manufacturer and exporter of specialist food packaging machinery received recognition for its long established apprenticeship scheme this week when electrical engineer James Sydenham won Best Apprentice in Cheshire and Warrington in the apprenticeship category at The High Sheriff's Awards for Enterprise.

PA has been ranked number 47 in The Sunday Times Lloyds SME Export Track 100 league table.

The league table ranks Britain’s small and medium-sized (SME) companies with the fastest-growing international sales. PA which appears for the first time achieved an impressive 57% increase in export sales to reach 47th place.
