Emery Soft Fruits is a family business which has been growing in Hampshire since 1966 starting in salad crops before moving to soft fruit in 1993. Family members Rebecca Emery, Peter Emery and Ashley Emery are all still involved in the business today working alongside experienced agricultural employees.

After reviewing their existing machines and service contracts, Emery Soft Fruits approached Packaging Automation looking to improve production outputs but wanting to ensure good service levels to limit any potential downtime. #TeamPA gave Emery Soft Fruits the opportunity to trial a PA heat sealer, following the success of this trial, PA then installed a Revolution tray sealer which consistently achieved throughput levels of 115 packs per minute, with additional modifications and introduction of SyncroFLEX to the machine #TeamPA managed to increase this to +120 packs per minute consistently.
Emery Soft Fruits were particularly impressed with the gentle handling of the fruit at high speeds. Now with the MiWeigh system integrated into their lines they have optimum quality and weight control using the MiWeigh batch reports and software feedback. They also utilise the BRC functions within the software helping with BRC accreditation and site audits.
