The Client: Central Food Services
are a family owned and run company and since 2003 operating as a meat cutting plant and meat preparation processing unit producing raw, frozen value added meat joints and portions for retail outlets in the UK.
The Challenge: Expansion and Growth
When faced with growth through expansion Central Food Services turned to Packaging Automation to help them automate their processes. They were keen to replace their old kit for a more reliable option whilst at the same time increasing throughput.
The Solution: Revolution
With capacity to seal up to six packs at a time giving a maximum output of 150 packs per minute it was clear that the newly launched Revolution, fully electric automatic tray sealer, was the answer.
Using motion control technology to provide high speed output with quick tool changes and incorporating POWERDRIVE technology to eliminate the need for a compressed air supply, it can be used to seal reel fed film to pre-formed trays and can be configured to use MAP-F gas flushing, full MAP-V vacuum and SkinPAC for extended shelf life.
The Result: Increased throughput and factory automation
Central Food Services were the first to use the Revolution tray sealer and have seen a 100% increase in throughputs from their previous sealer and far less downtime.
