This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic and confident individuals to join the Assembly team. Your technical knowledge and experience will be developed to equip you for the role.
Whilst, the successful candidates will be given ‘on the job’ training, they will already have experience of working in an engineering environment, will be confident in the use of hand tools and have the ability to understand and follow engineering drawings and preferably have completed a recognised apprenticeship.
The Electrical Fitter’s job will involve the following:
Ø Building control panels as per drawing/specification
Ø Wiring to safety switches, sensors and any remote control panels as specified on the drawing, utilising conduit and trunking as necessary
Ø Ensuring electrical safety on all machine builds
Ø Reporting any faults or shortages on build to the Section Leader
Ø Appraisal of hire machines and take appropriate action to bring the machines’ condition/functionality to the current or required standard
Ø Completion of final tests on all electrical work taking action to rectify any faults identified
Ø Up-loading and downloading appropriate PLC programmes as necessary to ensure correct running of the machine
