Our partner in South Africa - Vannpax

VANNPAX was established in 2013 by Johann Van Niekerk in response to a perceived shortage of artisans in factories and production plants within South Africa. They provide custom-made support to the Food Packaging Machine Industry in Southern Africa and beyond.

With 25 years combined industry knowledge and experience in the maintenance, supply and building of packaging machine lines, VANNPAX focus is within the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry.

In 2019 IPA and the DFT Group partnered with VANNPAX to develop their machine-building and packaging line solutions. Now with its long-term strategic partner in a challenging and ever-changing economic environment, VANNPAX continues to service its customers in South Africa and Internationally.

In 2020 PA sold tray sealers to a mutual customer far up in the Northern parts of South Africa, close to the Namibian border. #TeamPA approached VANNPAX to handle the installation of these machines and a synergy between #TeamPA and VANNPAX was initiated.

This clever business decision really benefits the customers by giving them local support by a South African company.

VANNPAX entered into partnership with a few unique Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) like #TeamPA to supply, install and service equipment to the local and international market focusing on packaging.

VANNPAX also has their own design team and manufacturing facility in Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa where they make custom equipment and accessories for customers to improve production and process flow. These include entry level tray erectors, cartoners and other custom designs specific to the customer requirements.

Neil Ashton, Managing Director, commented: “It’s great that Packaging Automation now has representation in South Africa and with their expertise we’re confident it will be a long and mutually beneficial relationship. Welcome to the team VANNPAX.”
