We have a vacancy for an experienced Stores Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and confident individual to join the Stores team.
Ideally, the candidate will have previous experience of working in an engineering environment. Possession of a current Fork Lift Truck Licence is essential.
Whilst you will be able to apply your existing skills and knowledge, job specific training will be provided.
The main duties include:
Ø Booking in and inspection of all purchased goods and works manufactured items into stock using the Syspro ERP system to maintain accurate stock levels on a daily basis, ensuring that they meet the required specification.
Ø Packing and dispatch of spare parts and machinery orders.
Ø Reporting any anomalies of the booking in process to the Stores team Leader.
Ø Ensuring that all items are stored safely and appropriately on the day of receipt.
Ø Issuing of stock and consumable items to PA staff as and when required.
Ø Kitting jobs and assemblies for the required date in accordance with work in progress information.
Ø Ensuring the immediate issue of a shortage list to relevant Team Leaders as required.
Ø Ensuring all appropriate records are updated and stock levels are accurately maintained in Syspro.
Ø Operation of a fork lift truck to move goods and machinery within the factory.
