Modern Bakery was established in 1975 as a small-scale Industrial bakery with 80 workers only. At that time, all of the Products were manually produced.
Today Modern Bakery is one of the largest bakeries in the region, with a dedicated workforce of over 1,500 employees. They produce on an average 1 million buns and rolls every day in fully automated production plant.
Beside the Bun line, which is their mainstream product, Modern Bakery also produce nearly 2500 other products such:
· Pastries
· Sweets
· Confectionery
· Muffins
· Cakes
· Biscotti
And most importantly, they are the pioneers in the Production of a Healthy Range of products and cereal based snacks.
The range of products has diversified and expanded to meet the needs of the growing customer base which includes globally recognised Coffee Shops (Costa Coffee, Starbucks, Tim Hortons, Cafe Nero, Caribou Coffee, Coffee Planet etc.), Fast Food Outlets (KFC, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Hardees, Five Guys, Wendy’s, Cali Burger, Texas Chicken etc.), High Profile catering companies, hypermarkets, supermarkets (Emirates Flight Catering, Lulu Hypermarket, Carrefour, Union Coop, ADNH Compass, Zoom, Emarat & ADNOC Petrol Stations etc.) as well as 4- & 5-Star Hotels Chains (Atlantis Hotel, Hilton Hotel & Ramada Hotel etc.).
Even with the large product base Modern Bakery still offer and maintain superior customer satisfaction and consistently excellent quality of goods.
Modern Bakery have been a customer of PA for several years following their first purchase of a PA182 machine, they have also purchased a number of sealing tools over the years. The most recent tooling was for a folded board salad box and a folded board sandwich skillet.
With a desire to achieve additional capacity through automation of processes, Modern Bakery approached PA and ordered an Eclipse 182 to produce their sandwiches and salad. Modern Bakery knew exactly what they wanted as this was going to be their second machine and with several PA sealing tools it made sense to supply them a machine that could allow them to use these tools too.
The Eclipse 182 will allow Modern Bakery to increase their capacity and therefore increase productivity and using existing tools meant that we were able to minimise the total expenditure.
Modern Bakery were also grateful that PA could support them with the export paperwork and delivery of the new equipment.
