Established over 80 years ago, this customer is one of the UK’s leading Cake and Hot Dessert manufacturers. They make, bake and deliver the very best quality products to customers across the world.
Operating on a 3-shift rotation, they contacted #TeamPA with a very specific brief, they wanted to move to 2 shifts and increase throughput! The challenge was clear, #Team PA needed to find a solution to help this customer improve their running costs.
The solution was the Eclipse 240-F, a linear conveyor, tray sealing system capable of denesting, filling, pre-cut lid sealing and over-capping up to 200 packs per minute and able seal up to 12 trays at a time in a dual lane format.
The Eclipse 240-F hit the brief; it not only improved the throughput to 200 packs per minute, but the customer also achieved the reduction in running costs. They were also able to reduce the shift pattern from 3 rotations to 2, bringing with it reduced labour costs too.
